Levels of Reproduction

Each project is handled using the same controlled optical workflow, with increasing levels of refinement, output, and attention depending on the intended use.

Archive Capture

Optical capture designed to preserve the maximum amount of information from the original film with minimal interpretation. designed for consistency.

Original film capture

Images will typically appear lower in contrast, flatter, and less visually finished because no attempt is made to optimize color, density, or presentation. This intentionally neutral rendering preserves the most image data for future editing and archival use.

Professional Optical Reproduction

The core service. Each image is balanced for color, density, and contrast to produce a finished file suitable for printing, sharing, and long-term use.

Balanced image

Exposure and contrast adjustments are made to produce a balanced, natural-looking image while remaining faithful to the original film. Highlights, shadows, and midtones are refined  so the result is a polished, finished reproduction.

Exhibition Grade

Our highest level of reproduction and is intended for images where maximum presentation quality is the primary goal. Each image receives individualized evaluation and refinement beyond standard workflow adjustments, with careful attention to tonal balance, color relationships, and overall visual presentation. The result is a reproduction optimized for exhibition, publication, fine art printing, or historically significant images where the highest level of judgment and craftsmanship is appropriate.
